WINTER TOURS:
SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER
After many years trading as fish merchants in Newlyn, John and Kim Coulson decided they needed a new adventure. After buying a run-down flower farm in Penzance they decided to plant vines and create their own Cornish vineyard. Â
Today we have a wide range of award-winning sparkling and still wines, ciders and juices sold across the country and in our Taste Of The West, Gold medal-winning shop, full of local Cornish products.
We love to show people what we do here and visitors are invited to come and taste the produce or join us on vineyard tours and tastingsÂ
Our winter tours run Thursday, Friday and Saturday, September, October and November. Starting at 2pm it takes approximately 60 minutes, focusing mainly on the wine tasting and in the winery. We will stroll around the vineyard and orchard learning about our care regimes (weather permitting), however please be aware that all grapes have been harvested and the vines will be dormant. We’ll then take a look at the production processes and wine tanks in the winery and conclude with a tasting of 5 of our Polgoon products, including our international award-winning sparkling wines, still wines and ciders.Â
To take part in the wine-tasting you must be 18 years or over but, we do offer our soft drinks to those who aren’t.Â
Tours cost £10.00 per person, children go free.
