A coastal walk to the most south-westerly tip of mainland Britain.

This is a journey to the edge of England. You’ll follow the South West Coast Path from Sennen Cove to Land’s End, where you’ll find incredible clifftop views and the world-famous signpost. The walk is approximately 3.3 miles (5.3km) and is described as moderate.

You’ll begin at the glorious beach in Sennen Cove, which is dog-friendly in the winter months. On a clear day, you might be able to spot the Isles of Scilly in the distance. Walk through the village and pop into the Roundhouse and Capstan Gallery before heading up onto the cliffs for the walk to Land’s End.

When visiting in the winter months, take extra care on coastal walks. Check for weather warnings, stick to paths and remember to account for the shorter daylight hours.

Roundhouse and Capstan Gallery

Unique gallery in Sennen

This distinctive, circular building in Sennen was originally built to house the capstan (a machine used to pull boats out of the harbour). Today, it’s home to a coastal art gallery that celebrates artists and art with a connection to Cornwall. Inside, you’ll find dramatic seascapes, eye-catching ceramics and a wonderful view of the harbour. Check their website for opening hours.
