Experience a cultural day out exploring the surprising number of independent galleries in Marazion. Starting at The Summerhouse Gallery, wander down the main street to find Marazion Gallery, Market House Gallery, Out of the Blue and Studio Read – all of which are within less than a mile of each other. You could also visit Penn Boylan Ceramics (call or email first) and complete your day with a visit to ‘Gwelen’, the site-specific artwork on the coast path between Marazion and Penzance. Gyotaku is a traditional Japanese method of fish printing developed by fishermen in the 1800s to record and honour the catch. Stevie uses fish and shellfish sourced sustainably from the shores of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly – and nothing goes to waste. At the end of the workshop, Stevie will clean, cook and present the fish beautifully for you to enjoy with a glass of fizz (or two!).
