Deep into history

Cornwall Underground Adventures

Travel back in time by travelling underground through an old tin mine. You’ll step into the shoes of a Cornish miner and descend ladders, wander through the narrow walkways and even abseil down the different levels of the mine (if you dare!). Cornwall Underground Adventures offers a range of caving experiences with many complex mining tunnels to explore. This activity takes around three hours and is of ‘medium’ difficulty. Find out more.

Jubilee Pool is the UK’s largest seawater lido and it’s usually reserved for humans, but on the day before the pool is closed for its annual clean, they open it up to swimmers and their canine companions. This event usually happens in late October. Keep your eyes peeled for dog friendly events on their Facebook page.

This Penzance farm has an incredible story. Two young farmers with no family background in farming have transformed the land into a small holding, campsite and countryside classroom. Now they host open days, during which you can meet some of the animals and learn more about how they are looked after. Follow the farm on Instagram to find out more about their events.
