Penlee House Gallery & Museum is a beautiful Victorian house set in sub-tropical gardens, right in the heart of Penzance. Changing exhibitions mainly feature the art of the area from 1880 to 1940, often including the Newlyn School artists such as Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Walter Langley, Harold Harvey and Lamorna Birch. The museum collections cover the archaeology and social history West Cornwall. Penlee House offers an excellent café, The Orangery, which serves delicious food made using local produce.
